Has anyone experienced pain during sex while pregnant?

I am about 3 1/2 months pregnant and I find sex very painful, our doctor told us to to try different ways and we have, but it is still extremely painful.

If almost feels as if there is "no room" for the penis to enter, he can go in so far but then it feels like its hitting something, hurts as if everything is bruised.

I have talked to friends and family and no one seems to know what could be causing this, we are going to the doctor next week and I will ask him again, but i just wanted to know if anyone else has every experienced this?

I'm 6 months pregnant, & we haven't been able to have sex pretty much the whole time. It doesn't really feel like a bruise or like there's no room, there's just an awful burning feeling. There's nothing physically wrong with me, my dr said if it hurts then don't do it.
